Wanaaring Public School is a small, isolated school serving a diverse rural community. Wanaaring is a quant village in north western New South Wales. Situated on the Paroo River, 200 km west of Bourke. The school strives to provide a quality individualised education for all students and a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment where all children can experience success. In 2021 there are 9 students from Kindergarten to year 6, with approximately 77% of students identify as Aboriginal. Approval and willingness to teach infants (K-2) and primary (3-6) Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents to plan, program and implement interesting and challenging educational programs A deep understanding of differentiation and the complex additional needs of students in a very remote, multigrade school environment Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education policies.
